I finally received photos of my nieces in the Halloween costumes that I created for them.

They won a prize for their costumes too. Aunt Teri is very proud.

I just spent the past three hours or so making an octopus. Or rather a purple dress with octopus tentacles attached? "But why?" you ask.

Because I'm the cool aunt. The aunt that sews costumes in a week's notice (even though she puts it off til the last minute and has to do it all in one night). Besides my sister can't/won't sew and I enjoy it. Apparently my niece needs to be a purple octopus on Friday for some kindergarten presentation. Unfortunately, I'll bet she won't want to be a purple octopus for Halloween.

Earlier today I was on the phone with my sister discussing the costume and how to construct it. I was just saying, "Okay, I'll just attach the tentacles to the side seams then..." when my coworker walked into my office. He mouthed "tentacles?" with a terrified expression on his face and backed out of my office.

I hope Kara remembers to take photos so I can post them later. I took a few making of photos and will post them...eventually.

Tentacle construction is hard work, I'm going to bed now.
