Sheep to Shoe - Part 3
I cast on for this sock and never even paused to take a photo until I ran out of yarn.

Love. Love. Love.

I have more than enough to make knee socks and at least another pair. I think for the knee socks I'll try to match them as much as I can. The Navajo plying is working so much better than I would have imagined. Maybe for the next pair of socks I'll blend the colors together a bit more and Andean ply instead. Who knows? For now, I'm in love with these and can't wait to spin some more so I can finish them.

They look awesome. I'm so jealous. I"m going to have to work on plying my stuff that I've spun so far. I just need some concentrated time to figure it out. I just went through my yarn this weekend and started knitting with any regularity.

I miss you guys!

Gwen

Thanks again for buying this for me. It's a ton of fun to do. Infuriating sometimes (I curse more while spinning than knitting!) but so worth it.

Miss you too, Gwen!

OH my holy hell. You are SO the yarn whisperer. Making your own sock yarn? And knitting up such fabulous socks? You rock, spinning navaho plying woman!

I'll have to bring this on Tuesday so you can see it in person. The colors are more vibrant than my monitor shows.

Now stop giving me such a big head!

Tuesday nights at Dunn Bros coffee shop at 91st & Metcalf or Wednesday night at Misknits yarn shop at 39th & Terrace. Join us and we'll teach you some mad knitting skillz.

Probably too far north for you, eh? (Thanks again for the userpic)

Wednesday night's probably a bit far, but 91st and Metcalf's not bad. I may need to try that out after some of the basement chaos settles down! Then I can make really cool neat stuff... I really do want to learn to do it right. It's so much harder than crochet, though!

Oh, it's not that hard. But feel free to bring crochet too if you like. We don't discriminate.

You have every reason to love, love, LOVE those socks. They are so gorgeous. And you spun them yourself. Ah . . . perfect. Hope you had some time to spin a bit this weekend. Chelle
